Garden Lodge Small Animal Boarding Terms and Conditions

Garden Lodge reserve the right to refuse your pet if we feel they are showing any signs of disease, illness, injury or pregnancy unless previously mentioned. Any existing medical conditions must be discussed prior to the stay of your pet, each case will be taken into account.

If your pet does have any medical problems, illnesses or injuries, please provide details of their condition and any treatment required when filling out the booking form.

If your pet is ill whilst at Garden Lodge, we will inform you or your emergency contact immediately. If we are unable to contact you and your pet needs veterinary care, we will transport the animal to our local vets less than half a mile away. If any treatment is required it will be charged to you, the owner. Your pet will be treated under your name and address. By signing these terms and conditions, you agree to any veterinarian costs endured by your pet.

We will take no responsibility of any pets pregnancy as all the animals are kept in separate homes and runs while in our care.

Sadly, small animals can pass away with very little warning and very quickly after first showing signs of an illness. If this does happen, we will contact you immediately to discuss your wishes should your pet pass whilst in our care. Garden Lodge accepts no liability in the unlikely event this may happen.

All payments must be made in full on or before the day of arrival. The daily rate includes the day your pet is brought to us and the day he/she leaves regardless of the time of day. Please contact me if you prefer to pay via BACS transfer.

Prices include grooming, wood shavings, hay and fresh vegetables. Guinea pigs and rabbits are provided with a hutch. Other small animals are required to bring their own home unless prior arrangement is made.

Times of arrival and collection must be provided when booking. If you are unable to make the time stated or you are running late, please ring to let us know and we can try to arrange a new time that day. This is to ensure we are at home to receive or release a pet from our care. We ask that you do keep to the delivery and collection times that have been arranged.

If your pet is already boarding with us and you decide to collect your pet earlier than the original date booked, you are still liable for the full boarding costs.

If you have bonded pets that are staying with us in the same hutch and we need to separate
them due to fighting, you will be required to pay the extra accommodation fees.
11. If your pet is not collected on the due day, and we are unable to contact you or your
emergency contact and you do not contact Garden Lodge, we will attempt to re-home your pet
and action will be taken to cover costs.
12. Unlike dog and cat kennels, small animal boarding does not require a license or have the
same rules and regulations.
13. All rabbits in our care need to be vaccinated against Myxomatosis and (R(V)HD) Rabbit Viral
Hemorrhagic Disease strain one and two (R(V)HD2)
These need to be administered at least 2 weeks before boarding. A vaccination certificate will be required to be sent via email or seen on arrival.
14. Cancellations with less than 24hrs before the agreed arrival time would require a 50% fee paid.
Cancellations with less than 48hrs before the agreed arrival time would require a 25% fee paid.
We are a very small business and the accommodation could have been occupied by other pets.
